Tiffany H. asks, “What is your favourite book?”
Wow! This is another one of those questions that doesn’t have an easy answer. One? Just one book? Impossible! But I can tell you a few of my favourites.
When I was a kid, Nancy Drew and the Mandie mystery series were obvious favourites.
But I also read a lot of speculative fiction – especially fantasy. I’d love to say The Chronicles of Narnia were favourites, but unfortunately I didn’t discover C.S. Lewis until I was an adult! They’re some of my favourites now, however. 🙂 One particular fantasy book that stands out from my childhood is The Pig, The Prince, and the Unicorn.
Currently, I’m in love with Lauren Elliott’s, Beyond the Page Bookstore cozy mystery series, Vanetta Chapman’s, Agatha’s Amish B&B cozy series, and Amanda Flower’s, Magical Bookshop mysteries. Such fun and clean reads!
On the speculative fiction side, I’m loving a lot of things put out by Enclave Publishing. Nadine Brandes has a great Out of Time series. It’s on the dystopian side – one of my favourite genres. On the secular side, I’m a sucker for the Divergent and Hunger Games series.
Hmm.. I guess I really like reading books that belong to a series! More to love, I guess!
